i've decided to bullet point the areas so that it make sense as you are reading - so here we go:
- Work
- Love Life
- MuM
- Internet
- Fall TV Season
- Flight Plan
- Young Democrats
- Finances
Work has been going pretty great actually. At last post, i had just started my full time shift 10-7. Well as luck would have it they moved me up to 9-6, which was the shift that i preferred anyways so I was super ecstatic. I've kept the same supervisor and she is such an amazing person. I'm so thankful to everyone for having her as my supervisor. She absolutely goes above and beyond the call of duty in order to make sure our work experience is as pleasant as she can make it.
I've had a few crappy customers, but what can you say -- when you work in customer service you have to expect that. We actually have had to go through some new training in order to better assist the customers and make sure our attitudes are checked at the door. My supervisor and I just laugh because we find it so hilarious that they are spending so much money on training the employees on how to "manage difficult customers."
There has been over 400 people quit since the summer and so at the moment we are currently hugely understaffed causing the management to force us to work Mandatory Overtime. Although, i don't mind the idea of working more, but being FORCED into it -- i'm not very keen on that and have made my opinion very well known.
I have also been commended by several members of our senior management team because of a case i've been working on that has basically save the company some embarrassment so that was very nice to get that recognition.
The past month at work has been killer, with all of the outages due to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the special considerations that need to be taken into effect because of the tragedy. Since it's been a tough month for all of us on our team especially our supervisor because she has to deal with all of our complaints and whining and bitching, so i planned a little Pam Appreciation Day for this past friday 9/30/05. I brought in flowers and a cake and it was all very nice, everyone was surprised and had a genuinely good time. Ironically enough, I found out that day that i was going to be switching supervisors. My new supervisor is some chick from Ocala, so i can't really get a grasp at her since she's not here yet - she won't arrive to orlando until wednesday/thursday if i'm lucky. My current supv, Pam, is doing everything in her power to keep me on her team, so we'll see if that works -- i'm supposed to begin w/ the new sup on 10/8.
BLANK.. hehe -- yeah nothing new in this department. I've been hanging out with this guy named Jo. But It hasn't matured past anything "friendy" so we're just going to call it a day and be open to other people. We have gone on a few dates and have enjoyed each others company. I actually felt like a Jackass because i was supposed to pick him up on friday to go out to a friends house. I was all dressed and ready to go, but alas i fell asleep on my bed and woke up at 5 am to listen to 4 voicemails with him pretty upset. :: SAD NESS ::
As some of you know, i belong to a group here in Orlando called MuM: "Men Uniting Men." It's a little fraternity-esque type group. The guys are fabulous -- it's a gay men's group. We meet every wednesday night and just hang out for a bit. Over the past couple of months, i've been getting more involved and have been chosen to be the political director for the group -- so that's kind of cool. On Sept 16th we went to Pulse (http://www.pulseorlando.com) nice little club -- i danced my ass off it was so much fun. I brought Jo with me. Afterwards, we were a little hungry so the group of 6 of us went over to the Dunkin Donuts across the street and had a doughnut. We were greeted by one of the workers, her weave looked like a volcano, but she was crazy cool. We stayed there for a bit and then i came home and went to bed since i had to be at work 3 hours later :)
Other event's that we've done lately is had a movie watching party.. saw Monster in Law. I absolutely love the movie A+++. & we also went bowling, in which i got my ass kicked.
Tomorrow night they're going to play volleyball, which is one of my favorite sports to participate in - but since i have mandatory OT. I can't go :( Bitches!!
So last week i posted that i was going to be w/out internet for a bit. Well let me explain what happened. My FORMER DSL provider was screwing me over on my bill and what not. I received a call from our local Cable provider and they were going to give me 3x more speed than my DSL could equip for $30 less. So it took a little thinking, yes it was worth it but i didn't execute the plan well enough because i wasn't able to send out any emails stating that i was changing companies until after the process had begun and i had lost my old email address. I'm very happy with my new provider and hope that those of you who email me, update your records to reflect my correct email address.
Also, I finally CANCELLED AO-Hell. I've had AOL for 14 years, and just finally realized that i only used it about ONCE per quarter and that was just to clear out all the Spam mail i had collected on my account. I had no real use for it. AOL tried to keep me on, but i sternly told them to Fuck off :) It felt good.

I'm really enjoying them all -- my favorite thus far is Prison Break. I also think that the casting for COMMANDER IN CHIEF has been great, Geena Davis represents the strong female lead that is needed for that position and she makes it all the more believable.
What do you all think of the Fall TV Season thus far?
Last night, my friends and I decided to go out and watch Flight Plan. Decent movie, very far-fetched storyline w/ a twist it took me 4.5 seconds to figure out. I would rate it as a Wait for DVD Rental, but some of you might like it. I really enjoyed myself though because I was with my friends and we were just being crazy. There were these high school teenagers at Downtown Disney, who were fighting over a boy and i was egging them on -- haha it was hilarious.
I've been keeping really busy with them. I've been placed in charge of our Charter Revision Committee so i spent the majority of the last month reviewing all of our rules and changing the ones that needed to change so that our organization became better.
If you'd like to see what i changed, you can go to http://www.floridayd.org/ydd/specia
I also finished PART 1 of the website redesign, if you haven't seen it -- go here and let me know what you think. http://www.floridayd.org
The finances are looking better. At last post i was whining about not being able to afford my apartment, but with careful recalculation of things, I was able to make everything work out. It's going to be a pretty good 4th quarter.
Well i think that pretty much catches you up. If there is anything you feel that i have left out, please feel free to ask me. :)
Thanks
love ya all,
Kris
