Hello LJ!
How are you fine people doing?
It's been a pretty boring weekend here on the home front.
I have just been lounging around the house catching up on the things that I've recorded in my DVR.  The only time i actually left my house this weekend was to go to the grocery store to get some food items :) lol  yes it's been that lazy of a weekend.
Previously to this weekend, I've just been working a lot.  My work schedule has changed just a little bit. I now go into work later and have to stay later.  So i work 1230-930 monday thru friday.
Let's re-cap Toronto shortly.
I spent the last weekend in June in Toronto Canada.  I was up there for Pride.
I arrived on Thursday and checked into my hotel.  My flight arrived around 12PM so i had literally the whole day to sight-see, which is what i did. Before i started the walking, i went to the Gym in the hotel to check it out.  There were some really hot men there so i decided to lengthen my workout lol.  I met up with [info]lakeguy and Jay for dinner at Jack Astors on Yonge and Dundas in the new shopping center that has the AMC Theater on the top floor.  After that we went to the gayborhood where we hung out for a bit and then i came back to my hotel.
On Friday, I went to breakfast with a buddy from Orlando that went up to Toronto as well for Pride and talked about our first day in Canada and our plans for the day.  Breakfast was delicious.  It was this restaurant in the gayborhood that only opened for breakfast and lunch.   Nick and I had decided to visit the Royal Ontario Museum, so I invited Rick along and off we went.  We were going to walk there but then we came across the subway and i just knew i wanted to go on it, so i told Nick and Rick we were riding the subway and they agreed.  I got subway tokens for us all and we got in the car.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVED their public transport system.  It is what i used the whole time i was there.  It was easy to understand the routes and the attendants were very helpful in getting you on the right track.  We got to the ROM and paid our entrance fee.  They had an exhibit on Darwin and his work.  Also they had a big Asian historical exhibit. There was a Throne and i was making fun of it when an Asian lady walked by and corrected me by saying it was a Throne. (I said it was an ancient torture device).  I guess we were both right. :)
As we were leaving the ROM, Nick's friend Kevin ([info]madsquirrel) we parted ways and made plans to meet up later.  I went with Rick to the gayborhood to get some drinks. We went to Woody's (Yes the bar featured in some episodes of Queer as Folk).  Bought a pitcher of beer and some drinks and just chatted as we watched the clientele in the bar. I went back to my hotel to change and met up with the boys later in the night as we partied along the strip.
More from Toronto, After the break )
</a>The last two weeks have been chock full of doctor's appointments.  I went to my general physician for my yearly check up.  We determined 2 things.  1) I am too fat and 2) I'm not pregnant. LOL  I had to have an ultrasound performed because my liver enzyme levels were high and he wanted to see what was going on.  So we did the Ultrasound and he said that everything looks good, we just need to work on the whole losing weight thing.  Oh yeah I'm also free of all STI's/STD's.  That's a process but i vow to myself to be one person lighter by this time next year.  (that would be losing approximately 125-150 by next July. The other doctor's appointments I have had have been with my Neurologist.  This was the most important appointment of the year so far.  It was this appointment that would tell me if i were to be allowed to drive again.  He asked me a few questions and from my answers and my history he decided that he would recommend that i be allowed to drive again So that's pretty awesome.
Next up was the dentist.  She wanted to put a crown on my tooth so i succumbed and boy did that hurt.  Now i have Royal Teeth LOL. I'll be going in August for a follow up and then in september again for some cosmetic changes.
The last appointment isn't until this Friday and that is with my optometrist.  I'm going to get myself a new pair of contacts and glasses.

I still haven't seen The Dark Knight nor Mamma Mia.  I'm sort of BROKE this weekend but next weekend i'll be watching both.  If i can't get anyone to go with me -- i will go by myself.

That's pretty much it.
If you actually read all of this, I THANK YOU.  I know i haven't included everything from the past couple of weeks and i'll probably do a follow up post.
