First of all, I would like to thank you for reading this message. The reason I am writing you today is to ask for a favor. On Saturday April 25, 2009, I will be participating in the Orlando AIDS Walk to benefit the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida. The Hope and Help center has been the premiere support group here in the Central Florida area since 1988. They provide support, education and care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. They also provide education and testing for those living without the disease.
In order for me to participate in the walk, I have to raise $100. To date, the walk has raised over $41,000 which is great. All funds raised in the Orlando AIDS Walk are kept local and will be used to continue funding the services that the Hope and Help Center provide.
This walk is very important to me as my uncle passed away in 1992 from the disease.
I know that the economy is tough and that this isn't the best time to be asking for a donation. But if you would be able to donate 1 or 2 dollars, that would be great. Every little bit helps.
In order to donate, please follow these somewhat complicated but simple steps:
1) Visit the AIDS WALK ORLANDO donation page at http://www.aidswalkorlando.org/donations
2) Scroll down about mid page and you will see the donation box, enter the amount that you will be able to donate.
3) Select "Donate to an Individual" as your option or you can Donate to my Team "LEAGUE".
4) If you select, Individual - you will then want to select my name from the list: "KRISTIAN COSME" My name is listed on there 2x because I am signed up as an individual walker as well as a Team Captain. Either of the two options works.
5) Then click on the "Donate button," this will route you to paypal for you to process your donation via your checkcard or credit card.
6) once you are on the paypal page, enter your information and then click on the "Review Donation and Continue" button.
7) Confirm the information and then click the appropriate button to process the donation.
8) When the payment has processed, make sure to click "RETURN TO MERCHANT" in order for the donation to completely process.
